Bronze Plaques Are Not Third Place

Posted by Sacred Engraving on 1/13/2015

We all know that a bronze medal is given out in the Olympics as being in third place, yet we beg to differ.  Bronze has a resiliency and aura all of its own.  Its qualities have merits on their own in relation to the other metals.

Bronze is a strange metal. It is shiny and valuable but because of its relative worth when compared to silver or gold or platinum it is sometimes seen as lesser. In engraving though you can rarely do better than bronze. Sure wed love to give everyone a white gold plaque and then hang that outside for the public to look at but the public would not be so kind. Gold would be stolen or damaged and it would be a really expensive problem. Bronze plaques however, while they still look nice and are easily cleaned and maintained are not particularly desired by criminals.

Mostly bronze plaques melted down cant net much money. With that said the overall look of bronze is incredibly appealing on memorial plaques or whatever else you may use a plaque for. Ive always liked bronze myself. I remember when I was younger getting a bronze trophy from a basketball league. I was incredibly proud of that bronze trophy. Bronze does not mean third place to me. It means you are a fellow traveler of the mighty. It links you to greats while you get to maintain a down to earth attitude. Besides being a winner is just plain being a winner.
